United Way is an organization that gets things done...

For 40 years, the Sherburne County Area United Way has successfully raised funds to support the community's human service providers.  But we're more than just a fundraiser...

Sherburne County Area United Way focuses on community resources to provide solutions for the most important needs in the community.

We work side-by-side with government, businesses and other service organizations to help solve our communities' most urgent problems. We provide a background for diverse interests to partner, collaborate, and produce measurable results in the Big Lake, Elk River, Otsego, Princeton, Santiago and Zimmerman communities.

The Sherburne County Area United Way allocates contributions where they will do the most good.

United Way gives people the power of knowing their abilities really do outweigh their disabilities.

The strength of the Sherburne County Area United Way starts with its volunteers. They bring together the professional expertise, experience and knowledge to help United Way make sure your contribution is well spent. The Sherburne County Area United Way magnifies and multiples the impact of your contribution . . . making your caring count. We invest your gifts in programs addressing high priority needs and then review and monitor programs for results. This guarantees that you receive a generous return on your investment.

Sherburne County Area United Way creates opportunities by focusing on the building blocks for a good life.

Our Mission: To enhance the community's organized capacity of people to care for one another.

Our Vision: To lead the way in providing opportunities that inspire individuals, engage communities, and build brighter futures.

Our Goal: To create long lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.

Sherburne County Area United Way has three Community Investment impact areas:

1. Community Basic Needs--assuring community members are able to access assistance to meet basic needs.

2. Promoting Health and Independence--assuring community members are able to access assistance to achieve their highest attainable level of wellbeing and independence.

3. Nurturing Children and Families--assuring community members are able to access assistance to reduce risks and promote strengths of children, youth, and families.

Join us -- LIVE UNITED...

United Way recognizes there are three things we all need for a good life:

1. A quality education that leads to a stable job.

2. Income that can support a family through retirement.

3. Good health.

Help us make those changes right here in Sherburne County.
